Hill Cruises Past Lalonde

Sunday July 6, 2003
Donny Lalonde said he wanted to better George Foreman by becoming the oldest fighter to win a world title. Not gonna happen after Lalonde was virually shut out by a far superior Virgil Hill. Lalonde's third comeback attempt should be his last.

It was disappointing but Donny’s heart never disappoints and there is never shame in losing to greatness like Hill or Leonard!

Amazing how long the both of them been on the scene for, now! “Names” -ALWAYS- are the “big deal” in boxing. I think these two are gonna be on a continuation, yet. And, as far ar Lalonde-”Foreman” comment…”Remember”,
George lost to Tommy Morrison -prior- to the -unlikely- KO10 Surprise with Michael Moorer. So, “Anything can happen…and normally will”.
John Wilkinson, New Britain, Ct ex-Army 5 Corp Champ (Lightwelterweight) first “loss” to Morris Eason of Ohio at the 1977 USAREUR Championships at Kornwestheim, Germany.
