Another Fight, Another Controversy

One fighter throws more punches, lands more jabs and lands more power punches yet still loses the fight. Of course, we're talking about Mosley-De La Hoya, right? Wrong! This week it's Fres Oquendo who appears to have gotten screwed by the judges. Oquendo frustrated the normally frustrating Chris Byrd and appeared to have taken Byrd's IBF heavyweight title in rather one-sided fashion. When the scores were read - 117-111, 116-112 and 115-113 - they seemed entirely reasonable ... until the announcer declared "and still heavweight champion Chris Byrd". The chorus of boos from the crowd were a better indicator of what really took place in the ring.
