Mosley-De La Hoya II a PPV Hit

Sunday September 21, 2003
The decision may have been controversial but the appeal of the bout itself was obviously widespread. The Shane Mosley - Oscar De La Hoya rematch was purchased in 975,000 homes, generating $50.2 million in PPV revenue -- the second best numbers for a non-heavyweight PPV bout (trailing only De La Hoya-Trinidad with 1.4 million homes and $71 million in revenue back in 1999). The first Mosley-De La Hoya bout did 585,000 buys.
