Bowe Wants to Return to Ring

Wednesday November 12, 2003
Right now, Riddick Bowe is inmate number 13603 at the Federal Correctional Institution, where the former champ is serving an 18-month sentence on a domestic violence conviction. While most boxing fans and insiders believe - even hope - they've seen the last of Big Daddy in the ring, Bowe himself has other plans. This despite the fact that Bowe's own attorneys - including Johnny Cochrane - have argued that the fighter suffered brain damage during his career that impaired his decision-making. A sad story which has the potential to get sadder still.
