Jones Retains Title ... Barely

For the first time in Roy Jones' professional career, there was some question as to whether he had done enough to earn a decision victory. Two of the three judges felt that Jones had done enough to defeat Antonio Tarver, but this was by far the worst performance of Jones' career. The fight appeared to be there for the taking for Tarver but the defending light heavyweight champ was not nearly active or aggressive enough to earn the decision.
