Big George to Leave HBO

George Foreman will be leaving the HBO Boxing broadcast team early next year. Foreman, saying he wants to spend more time with his family, will make Arturo Gatti's February bout the final one of his 12 year run with HBO. Foreman has earned the right - not to mention the cash - to do whatever he likes, but exactly how much time away from his family does it take to work one or two fights a month? In any case, let's hope HBO finds a good replacement because George is often the primary reason (along with Harold Lederman) to keep the volume on when watching an HBO telecast.
