Roy Jones-John Ruiz Rematch? Why?

Everyone expected Roy Jones to vacate his WBA heavyweight title rather than waste his time with a rematch against John Ruiz. However, Jones doesn't seem likely to get either Mike Tyson or Lennox Lewis in a ring any time soon. So, as much as watching Ruiz get shut out for another 12 rounds is the last thing any fight fan wants to see, that's just what we might get if Jones decides to comply with WBA rules which give him until Feb. 13 to negotiate a rematch (before the issue goes to purse offers). Ruiz' next entertaining fight - save for when he got knocked out cold by David Tua - will be his first.
