Shocker! Williams KOs Tyson in Four!

Saturday July 31, 2004
In a shocking upset, Mike Tyson was knocked out in the fourth round by unheralded British heavyweight Danny Williams. Whether this is Tyson's final fight remains to be seen but what is perfectly clear is that Team Tyson selected the wrong opponent for Iron Mike's latest comeback attempt. Williams took everything Tyson had to offer through the first three rounds -- showing his toughness by absorbing and recovering from numerous hard shots, including one that wobbled him badly in the first round. Then, in the fourth, Tyson seemed to run out of steam and Williams took charge -- landing a long flurry of punches that sent Tyson sprawling into the ropes. Tyson attempted to get up but failed to beat the count. Sadly, Tyson's decision on whether or not to hang up his gloves will likely be based on his need for money (he owes $38 million to creditors) rather than on a realistic assessment of his remaining ability and desire to fight (apparently very limited).

You make NO mention of Tyson seeming to have suffered a knee injury costing him the fight
