Review: Contender Episode 3
Monday March 14, 2005
In the third installment of "The Contender", NBC's boxing reality-show, Ishe Smith won a unanimous five round decision over Ahmed Kaddour. The escalating rivalry between these two fighters was a dominant storyline during the first two episodes so it was good to get this fight out of the way rather than having their tiresome trash talking drag on for a few more weeks. Unfortuantely, however, we may not have seen the last of Ahmed Kaddour. The teaser for episode four hints that one of the 13 remaining contestants gets injured and will be replaced by one of the three fighters that have already been eliminated. Here's hoping it's either Peter Manfredo Jr. or Jonathan Reid that is brought back for another shot at a big payday.
