NBC KOs The Contender

Tuesday May 17, 2005
To no one's surprise, NBC has announced that it won't be bringing its boxing reality show, "The Contender", back for another season. Boxing fans are likely disappointed, but the show never crossed over and garnered the non-boxing fan support it needed to survive. As NBC exec Jeff Zucker points out: "At the end of the day, it was a boxing show". Duh.

I have been waitin on the series to come back but I see now that it will not. That is not cool at all,I use to be a professional boxer, I still work out and hopefully will return to what I love. my passion.
I will miss the contender show. THe show gave me the will to go back to what I have worked so hard at. the underdog Gomez showed me what it takes . I just wish that i will find someothe way to keep the passion. Thannks to those who fought for their dreams.. x-boxer
