What Next for Hatton?

Thursday September 1, 2005
After upsetting Kostya Tsyzu, Ricky Hatton's career was supposed to take off. So what's next for the pride of Manchester? Depends on who you ask. According to Hatton, he's going to defend his IBF title for the first time in a unification bout against WBA champ Carlos Maussa on Nov. 26. Moussa stopped Vivian Harris in a shocker back in June. However, Hatton’s long-time promoter, Frank Warren, insists he has a contract with Hatton and has threatened legal action. Hatton is good for boxing so hopefully this dispute can be resolved quickly and doesn't escalate into something that keeps him sidelined for an extended period of time.
