Corrales and Castillo Set for Rematch

Wednesday October 5, 2005
The first fight between Diego Corrales and Jose Luis Castillo was one of the most brutal and dramatic bouts in boxing history, ending in a 10th round TKO victory for Corrales. Is it even possible for the sequel to live up to the original? We'll find out this Saturday night when the two best lightweights in the world square off in Las Vegas on Showtime PPV. Sometimes a fight like their first battle takes something out of a fighter - or, in this case, perhaps, both fighters - and they're never the same again ... especially when the rematch is only five short months after the first fight. Nevertheless, the fact that neither of these guys is likely to back down when the action heats up makes it almost impossible for this to be anything other than another memorable slugfest. Prediction: Corrales again climbs off the canvas to win ... this time in less than ten rounds.
