Klitschko-Rahman Postponed ... Again!
Sunday November 6, 2005
WBC heavyweight champ Vitali Klitschko has pulled out of his Nov. 12 title defense against Hasim Rahman due to a knee injury suffered during sparring. Klitschko had been medically cleared to fight but - after experimenting with a rigid brace - decided he was unwilling to go into the bout at less than 100%. Now Klitschko's management is saying he suffered a completely torn meniscus in his right knee that will likely require arthoscopic surgery. Promoters indicate a new date will be set next week. However, this brings the total number of times this bout has been postponed to four. It's beginning to look like Hasim Rahman might be waiting around for a $4.2 million payday that may never happen.
