Winky Wright Ready for Soliman
Friday December 9, 2005
The second best pound-for-pound fighter in the world is in action this weekend and no one seems to care. Ronald "Winky" Wright - coming off consecutive wins against Shane Mosley (twice) and Felix Trinidad - takes on relatively unknown Sam Soliman in a 12-round non-title bout. Soliman, 32, is a journeyman from Australia with a career record of 31-7 with only 12 KOs. On the plus side, Soliman's tough and has won 19 straight. Nevertheless, Wright figures to have little trouble as he looks ahead to a possible big money fight with Jermain Taylor. Also this weekend, Audley Harrison and Danny Williams (who stopped Mike Tyson in 2004) square off for the heavyweight title ... of Great Britain.
