Allan Green Survives Scare
Thursday April 27, 2006
Super middleweight Allan Green (20-0) is one of the most exciting young prospects in boxing today. However, if he has any hopes of being competitive in a proposed bout with Joe Calzaghe then he better learn to keep his hands up. Green decked late substitute Donnie McCrary (17-4-2) with a body shot in the third round of their nationally televised bout. However, Green was careless as he went in to finish off McCrary and soon found himself on the canvas after being on the receiving end of a series of bombs. Green struggled to survive the round but fought smarter from that point forward and stopped the overmatched McCrary with a crushing left hook in the sixth round. On the undercard, heavyweight Jameel McCline was unimpressive but still managed to score a ten-round unanimous decision over veteran Rob Calloway.

Being in Australia i only saw the Green fight last night (we’re a week behind for fightnight). Green can consider himself lucky that McCrary didn’t know how to finish! If he’d come out in the fourth like he finished the third we just might have had the upset of the year. Green definitely has the power to trouble most fighters but he has to work on the basics still. It was good however to see him admit as much to Teddy after the fight. Lets see what he has learned next time he’s in the ring.
By the way, what happened to Bonsante (his original opponent)
Allen Green is too raw for yall weak a$$ boxers, but wats sup I have been looking at most of yo fights and I m yo biggest fan you have inspired me into boxing and I just want to Thank You.
Allan is one of the GREATEST boxers. He has skill, talent, and discipline. I look for him to go for the world championship. Keep up the good work Allan!!!
i like this kid…so much potential… phenomenal power, good speed, good boxing…great pressure…i hope he shines….
allen is a fighter that picks fights that he knows he can win and if not he just tries to pay them off or just duck them i have seen it forever. He wouldn’t even fight me one time thats why i got his title in oklahoma hell i saw him get knock out cold 4 times before he turned pro the same year. i have also turned down money to let him beat me. put him up next to someone that can fight and he will be on the floor. that is why he lies about his age too he is a lot older than he claims to. but what the hell i guess thats just pro boxing in oklahoma.
the truth your making no sense on whatever your talking about. allan is in his prime doing good as hell, and right now were not talking about his career before he turned pro. were talking about his pro career.(hes doing good as hell).and if hes ducking good fighter then why is he about to fight edison maranda you fool. now hes a good fighter. look at his record and his skill level.

You know how I know you are a joke truth, because I have known Allan since highschool and we practiced boxing in the highschool wrestling room for hours every day and have followed him closely as a friend ever since, hes also not older than he says and I can vouch for that, and for a guy that comes from a background like his hes overcome alot and you should be ashamed for not being proud of someone suceeding in life, I am sure if he thought you would be a challenge he would have fought you.
Now come on everybody me and u both know that Allan Green is the best of the rest so don’t hate congradulate i know Allen and he got the skills to be the best so that’s what he’s gone do!!!
