Calvin Brock (28-0), who may very well be America's best (only?) hope at heavyweight, headlines tonight's HBO doubleheader from Las Vegas. Brock takes on another undefeated fighter in Timur Ibragimov (21-0-1). Timur is solid but his cousin, Sultan Ibragimov, is an even better prospect.
In the co-feature, welterweight phenom Joel Julio (27-0) - possibly the hottest prospect in boxing today - will face his stiffest challenge to date in contender Carlos Quintana (22-0).
Four undefeated up-and-coming fighters squaring off on one (non pay-per-view!) card ... not too shabby.
Results: Calvin Brock pounded out a methodical/boring 12-round unanimous decision over Timur Ibragimov by scores of 117-111, 119-109 and 115-113. Carlos Quintana outboxed Joel Julio over 12 rounds to score the upset: 117-111, 115-112 and 118-110.
