Spadafora Wins in First Fight Since Jail
Thursday November 23, 2006
Former lightweight champ Paul Spadafora stopped Jesus Francisco Zepeda in the fifth round in his first fight since being released from prison. Spadafora was paroled earlier this year after spending seven months in state prison and six months in a prison-style boot camp after pleading guilty to shooting his fiancé in the abdomen outside a gas station in October 2003.
Spadafora (39-0-1) looked sharp considering it was his first bout in 32 months. Still only 31, he could quickly work his way back into the top ten with a few more wins ... if he stays out of trouble.

No longer the Pittsburgh Kid since that is where he usually get’s in trouble, he is now the Comeback Kid. Spad should be moving onto Las Vegas under the watchful eye of Jesse Reid again for his next fight.
TEAM SPADAFORA FOREVER
it’s great to have you back in the burgh!!!
