HBO Announcer Lampley Arrested

While fight fans are - unfortunately - fairly accustomed to reading about fighters getting in trouble with the law, the following story comes as something of a shock.

HBO boxing commentator Jim Lampley, 57, has been arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence. According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, Lampley also faces two misdemeanor counts of violating a restraining order and preventing a witness from testifying. Lampley was released after posting $35,000 bail.

Details remain sketchy but TMZ.com reports that Lampley was already under investigation because of previous complaints and that he was arrested at the home of his girlfriend, whose name was not released.

Lampley has been married three times, most recently to anchorwoman Bree Walker. Lampley and Walker divorced in 2000 after 10 years of marriage.
