Stallone Facing HGH Charges

Wednesday March 14, 2007
Sylvester Stallone, 60, is facing charges of importing a banned substance into Australia. When Stallone arrived at Sydney airport on Feb. 16, customs officials searched bags and confiscated 48 vials of human growth hormone (thought by some to be a 'fountain of youth' drug). Three days later, when Stallone's hotel room was searched, members of his entourage were reportedly spotted throwing objects out of the windows - not exactly what you do when you've got nothing to hide.

The maximum penalty - which Stallone will never face - is a fine of $86,000 and five years in prison. Stallone will be required to enter a plea on April 24.

What does this mean? Not much, really. Anyone who saw the latest Rocky movie knows full well that you don't get your body to look like that simply with exercise and nutrition. Stallone's 'natural' body was on display in Rocky I and II. In Rocky III (and every other movie since), he's exhibited the classic 'performance-enhanced' look. Big deal. He's an actor, not an athlete.

The ironic part is that in Rocky IV, it was Stallone's opponent - Ivan Drago - that was seen shooting up to gain an edge. Meanwhile, Stallone was very possibly back in his trailer doing exactly the same thing ...

This Stallone situation is simply a matter of what was long assumed being now confirmed. Stallone has long been a gym rat in LA where whispers have perpetually occured about his usage of Stanazol back in the Rambo days. Gossip is just gossip, until you get caught in an airport and subsequently get caught chucking contraband out of your hotel window. Workout fiends look like Hopkins and Mayweather. Workout fiends using substances look like Stallone.

If sly was using hgh then why didn’t he look as ribbed and buffed and shredded as say, randy couture? how do we know that he wasn’t set up? further, i know guys that have used his fitness techniques and they work very well. further, everyone and his grandmother would love to get their hands on hgh to stay young. old age is a debilitating thing. further, it is possible to stave off the effects of aging for quite a long time. even without the use of hgh. i feel very bad about this…and as far as i am concerned, sly is still a hero and i’m praying this is all someone’s idea of a prank. thank you for letting me have an opinion. for the record, i have trained an olympic gold medal cathalon winner and at 70 he looks pretty darn good, still training, doesn’t use reading glasses and doesn’t use any drugs except maybe aspirin for a headace.

I don’t really care, just as long as he doesn’t go to jail. I’d be crushed if that happened.

Well being 35 years old and really looking up to sly as a role model this is very sad! I mean as a workout buff and boxer you know that these guys in films are using this crap. at least arnold s. former mr. universe admitted using tons of this stuff. slys is a lier and a fraud its really that simple! . what does this say to young kids! you see the big action stars in hollywood and small stars one month big and ribbed the next like a fat slob. Most humans gain only one pound of lean muscle year not 25-30 in a month. I myself have lost all respect for sly as his whole carrer has been based on these lies. when in fact he is just another drug addict.

you americans need to chill out and stop bashing people about what they chose to do with their bodies, americans do nothing but complain,so what if he used anabolics, hgh or other enhancers as long as hes not hurting anyone what the f***s it got to do with use?
people are misinformed about these drugs and the media love to bash users because its a money making story for them, and the average person ends up looking down on users.most bodybuilders use them and their some of the healthiest people you’ll get yet you have a coach potato badmouthing an athlete that gets drug tested positive.who would want to go see sly in a movie without his trademark muscles? no one.the mans 60 most 60yr olds are finding it hard to walk this man thanks to good lifestyle and help from hgh etc is in great health probly better than most 30yr olds.
so USA take a chill pill relax worry about yourself and enjoy sly kicking ass in RAMBO 4…
