Calzaghe-Jones Postponed!

Wednesday July 23, 2008
A sprained right wrist has forced Joe Calzaghe to postpone his proposed fight against Roy Jones Jr. The bout, originally slated for September 20, may be rescheduled for November 8. The site will likely remain New York's Madison Square Garden.

Calzaghe, 36, injured his hand while training on pads this past weekend. Calzaghe's father and trainer, Enzo, said his son will need two or three weeks off before he can start punching again. Jones, 39, took the postponement in stride, saying "I don’t want him to be no less than his best, so if this is what it takes for that, then so be it".

-very “interesting” the comments Roy Jones subscribes to when informed of the Joe Calzaghe postponement. Guaraneed that -same frame- will be echoing thru the subcounscience of the -Unblemished- Joe Calza. come fight night. This is a supurb clash between two of boxings -great titans-
The tone has been set for a wholesome encounter. I send my personal best wishes - to them both. This is how the business of -boxing- is meant to be conducted. The favorite - Calzaghe - may-very-well-win (”if” he is “On His Game”)-Roy will come with a hard physical effort. -It’s possible that both men will retire after this fight (what is there left to -prove-? -why- take the RISK
-any-longer?). JOHN WILKINSON ex-amateur (1-12

This shows me that Roy is Back! This is a fight Roy can get up for, get motvated for etc. I think Roy will turn back the clock and emarrass Calzaghe! I also think Roy should meet Tarver “One mo-genn!!!” In the words of the late King of Soul, “I Need Some Git Back!” “Pay Back!”. Dont worry Roy you’ll beat them both this time Homey! Hey Roy, “AND STILL!!!” LOL!!!! “Yall Remember Lito Said that!!” Peace!!!!!!!!!!

Ahhhh R.J. is back please believe!!!!!…..Calzahge will suffer his 1st real loss and his 1st by KO..Roy is supremely motivated for this fight…not taking anything away for Calzahge he is a very skillful fighter who throws a lot of volume of punches and his speed has carried with him up in weight, however Roy is just as skillful with a couple added ingredience #1 talent.. Roy has a natural atheletic talent that cannot be taught #2 POWER even though he doesnt always persue KO’s Roy hit extremely hard that is why many of his opponents never really tried to pressure because of his hurt factor and those that did usually end up KO’d #3 for as fast as Calzahge is he cant match the quick combo punches of Roy he lets loose like a gatlin..now not sleeping on Joe abilty to throw quick shots he is basic in just coming at you yes he looked against Lacy and so-so against B-HOPS but Roy a pragmatic counter puncher with speed and accuracy will in my eye’s drop Calzahge much the way he did Reggie Johnson a gifted pure boxer with great hand speed….plus Roy ego is now on the line unlike his fight with Antonio Tarver who by truth is a Heavy Weight when not in training is a bigger guy Calzahge is smaller and will sustain more damage than a Roy who’s frame is capable of handling the punishment…a good fight but Enzo son will crash and burn beautifully with his English foes singing him off into another English legend
