WBA Reviewing Valuev-Holyfield

Wednesday December 31, 2008
The WBA has ordered a panel of judges to review video of the Dec. 20 bout between Nicolay Valuev and Evander Holyfield for Valuev's WBA heavyweight title. Apparently, the decision in favor of Valuev was sufficiently rotten that the WBA felt compelled to take action because it "always cares about and respects the fans' and the media's opinion". Whatever.

The decision will not be overturned. Expect the WBA to order a rematch ... which would likely be just as dull and pointless as the first fight.

“HAHA! Great! ….. I enjoyed the first fight so much i wanna see this massive, clash of the giants, rematch!”

This is what a stupid, brainless and generic boxing fan might say…

Comeon! Who would want to see this fight?! All over again! And especially on payperview, the level of unproffesionalism and lameness made me think i was watching it for free! I certainly wont bother with this! Even if Holyfield can win, it will be a hollow victory..

You’re Absolutely right Andrew! Just a ploy to get a rematch that will probably be just as boring. However, I have to give Evander credit for his fear of no man. He really was the “real deal” and I hope if he has a rematch he leaves the ring with a victory and makes this his last bout so we can all remember him as the warrior he truly is.
