Roy Jones Jr. showed that he can still put on a performance like he did in his prime ... as long as he's facing a hopelessly overmatched opponent. Jones demonstrated impressive hand-speed and combination punching over ten one-sided rounds against Jeff Lacy before the corner of former super middleweight champ mercifully stopped the bout (scheduled for 12).
Lacy was cut above the left eye in round three and, by the end of the bout, had significant swelling around both eyes. Lacy never stopped trying to pressure Jones against the ropes but his attack was much too slow and predictable to ever land anything meaningful. In the latter rounds, Jones seemed as concerned with playing to the crowd as he was with anything Lacy might be throwing his way.
Next up for Jones is a trip to Australia for a Nov. 21 meeting with cruiserweight Danny Green, who stopped Julio Cesar Dominguez on the undercard of the Jones-Lacy fight.
The TKO marked the first time Lacy has been stopped in his professional career. Despite a tremendous physique, the former U.S. Olympic team member is an old 32 and should seriously consider retirement.

Well, I admit I was very wrong regarding the Jones-Lacy fight. This was not the Jones who lost to Johnson and Tarver or even to Calzage.
He will never be the same Roy again.Looking forward to seeing him more.
Jones looked better before his downturn, but not to bad at all this time out. Agree with steven, like to see jones again.
