I’m glad Cotto got his retribution. He deserved it. I say Alvarez next.

And here’s my final comment. Hahahahaha f*ck margarito… I’m glad his body betrayed him. Cheater. Spoiler of a great sport. F*ck him. Out.

Andrew, a lot of people think Margarito should have been allowed to continue. But the rules are clear – and I watched the fight with a close friend, one of the top international referees – when a fighter is sightless in one eye, the fight is over. At that point, it is not a judgment call. I also think Cotto looked as good in this fight as in any previous fight – beautiful reflexes, anticipation, intelligent movement, pinpoint accuracy. He did indeed shake Margarito on a half dozen occasions, but Margarito is not dissuaded by anything short of unconsciousness. A fine win, and there should be no controversy about it.

Cotto still a loser, had it continued to 12 rounds he would have been on his knees again. Cotto was short of breath during interview, Margarito was not even tired. Many fighters have fought 15 rounds with a closed eye …
