Styles make fights and in this case, styles may either make for an exciting fight or a very dull fight. Both Ward and Dawson are superb athletes and boxers, and always show intelligent and calculated ring generalship. Both certainly have studied the tapes of the other, and trained with excellent sparring partners. There is too much at stake for each not to take this match very seriously. Because of this, either can win or lose, and no matter what develops it will have a great impact on their respective careers. But again, it will be either exciting, or remarkably dull; a toss-up at this point I think. The first two or three rounds should determine the outcome.
I see full distance duel. Both fighters have class and I don’t believe this fight could be a war. It will be a very tactical with neither boxer avaoiding mixing it. In terms of speed, ward appears to have an edge and this could decide the outcome of this potentially enthralling clash
I think Simon makes some excellent points, and indeed, Ward has the speed edge. But I think Dawson has the skill edge and will pick his spots from distance, again a point inferred by Simon. SHould be a very interesting match.

I see Ward as a fighter who’s constantly improving while I can’t say that about Dawson-if he fights anything like he did against Hopkins-he’ll probably get KO’d.
To some people it may be unexpected, but Ward will physically dismantle Dawson with in-fighting, speed and heart.
I really think this fight has the potential to be a blockbuster…Just because the Mayweathers and Pacquaios aren’t fighting doesn’t mean any other fighter isn’t worth watching. This fight will surprise the world and be a good stepping stone to bring boxing back into the spotlight. Found this great article highlighting the fight.
