King's office raided by FBI (June 5, 1999)
Federal agents raided the offices of Don King looking for records relating to their probe into whether the IBF sold rankings and arranged fights for kickbacks. King's been through this routine so many times it's unlikely the raid will yield any good evidence. - AP from ESPN.com

Garcia pulls out in judge dispute (June 5, 1999)
IBF junior lightweight champ Roberto Garcia pulled out of his title defense against Derrick Gainer because of a dispute over the judges. De La Hoya wants more money (June 5, 1999)
Oscar De La Hoya wants double the proposed $15 million purse to get into the ring with Felix Trinidad. Oscar's entitled to as much as he can get, but he if his money demands prevent this fight from happening, boxing fans will assume he's ducking Trinidad and the 'Chicken' De La Hoya label will stick. - AP from CNN/SI.com

A Foreman adviser said he was trying to put together a Foreman-Tyson fight for December that would match the two former heavyweight champions in a bout that would pay Tyson $25 million and Foreman $20 million. Boxing league with corporate sponsorship? (June 1, 1999)
Lawyer Fred Levin, who represents Roy Jones Jr., wants to use corporate sponsorship to create the World Boxing League. The WBL would hopefully help alleviate the confusion created by the alphabet soup rating organizations. Interesting idea, but don't hold your breath. - AP from CNN/SI.com
