Lennox Lewis Takes Care of Business
Dateline: 07/15/00
On Saturday, July 15 in London, England, Lennox Lewis successfully defended his undisputed (regardless of what some corrupt sanctioning bodies would have you believe) heavyweight title with an impressive second round stoppage of Frans Botha. Lewis scored his second straight two round knockout with perhaps the best four punch combination of his career -- sending Botha literally sprawling through the ropes. Never before has anyone made such short work of the typically tough Botha who gave Michael Moorer, Mike Tyson and Shannon Briggs fits before settling for two losses and a draw, respectively.

Credit must be given to Lewis for not looking past Botha with potentially career-defining fights on the horizon with both David Tua and Tyson. So who would you like to see Lennox Lewis fight in his next defense of the title? Share your opinions on Lewis and where, if at all, he deserves to be ranked among the all-time great heavyweight champions on the boxing bulletin board.
