Tyson in Trouble Again

Monday November 14, 2005
From the "What Else is New?" department, Mike Tyson is in trouble again with the law. This time it's for allegedly assaulting a cameraman outside a nightclub in San Paulo, Brazil. The cameraman, Carlos Eduardo da Silva, alleges Tyson broke his camera and hit him on the head with camera equipment. Tyson acknowledges breaking the camera after asking Silva to stop filming, but denies pushing or hitting the cameraman. Given Tyson's track record, it's not hard to imagine the cameraman's version being true. However, knowing that the cameraman also plans on suing Tyson for damages in the U.S., it's also entirely possible that the charges have been exaggerated in hopes of reaching a cash settlement. Either way, Tyson has been ordered to return to Brazil in March to face trial.
