Cotto to Face Malignaggi Next

Unbeaten Miguel Cotto (26-0, 22 KOs) retained his WBO junior welterweight belt with an eighth round stoppage of Gianluca Branco. Branco was game but simply couldn't match Cotto's firepower. Next up for Cotto is a June 10 date with outspoken Paulie Malignaggi at Madison Square Garden. Malignaggi is undefeated but has just 5 KOs among his 21 wins and will likely also have difficulty dealing with Cotto's power.
