Mike Tyson vs. Ann Wolfe?

Wednesday October 18, 2006
"Mike Tyson's World Tour" begins Friday night in Youngstown, Ohio with the former champ taking on 6' 6" Corey "T-Rex" Sanders (23-11) in a four-round exhibition bout. I'm no optometrist, but to my untrained eye, Sanders - who suffered a detached retina earlier in his career - looks to be blind in his left eye. Perhaps that's what qualified him for this fight. Either that or his five fight losing streak dating back to 2002.

As if the event itself is not odd enough, Tyson raised the bizarre-factor at the final press conference before the bout by indicating that future stops on the tour might include a bout with female professional boxer Ann Wolfe (21-1, 15 KOs). Yeah, that's just what boxing needs - a pay-per-view event in which a convicted rapist beats up a woman he outweighs by 65 pounds . . .

The Tyson-Sanders exhibition will be available on cable and satellite pay-per-view beginning at 10:30 PM/ET, 7:30 PM/PT. The suggested retail price for the PPV telecast is $29.95. If that doesn't feel like enough of a ripoff, you can attend the event live -- tickets are only $25, $50, $100, and $200!
