In contrast, Diaz has fought his entire career between 133 and 146 pounds. Diaz is a solid pro who scored his biggest win with a close unanimous decision over a badly faded Erik Morales in 2007 in what proved to be Morales' final fight.
There are some concerns over Pacquiao's conditioning and focus as he's clearly enjoying his rock star status and may be looking ahead to bigger fights, such as a third meeting with Juan Manuel Marquez. Ricky Hatton and Oscar De La Hoya have also been mentioned as possible future opponents. Nevertheless, Pacquiao is favored over Diaz -500 / +350.
Who do you think will win? Pacquiao or Diaz? Vote in our poll.
Pacquiao-Diaz will be televised live by HBO-PPV (beginning at 9pm ET) . The undercard includes: Steven Luevano (35-1) vs. Mario Santiago (19-1); Tye Fields (40-1) vs. Monte Barrett (33-6); and Humberto Soto (43-6-2) vs. Francisco Lorenzo (32-4).

The Pac-man will K.O. Diaz. Diaz had never encounter a fighter like Pacman in hs career. Pacquiao will win
This is a battle of slugger. May the best stamina and stronger fighter will win the fight. And I think PACMAN is much stronger than DIAZ. Hopefully, they’ve finished the 12 rounds in still good condition. May the stronger and toughness guy win.. Ala, eh kanino pa ga tayo!!!
Pacquiao has all the “stats” in his favor. Has fought more. In different weight classifications. Has been fighting regularly.
Diaz is no pushover. He is tough and if it goes the distance…he has the slight edge over Manny P. But he has not fought as many (meaningful and significant) fights as Manny P during the last couple of years.
Biggest drawback of Manny P…”distraction”. He has been lionized too much even before his last fight and victory against Marquez.
All that said, I go with Las Vegas odds…5 to 1, Pacquiao wins. But he has to finish it off before the 9th round. If it goes 12 rounds, and Pacquiao does not score a knockdown…he just might lose on points. Diaz is quite a counterpuncher and has the stamina to go all the way.
Preference: I still want to see Manny break records and be the first one to have four belts under his name.
I just hope nobody really gets “too hurt” during the fight. It could be a really bloody one. These are two great fighters. I hope nobody really hurts the other too much.
hi pacquiao keep the good work for our country your the best. my famil is very pround of you and also my bario.
