Olympic silver medalist Amir Khan (21-1) lived up to his hype with a unanimous decision over WBA super lightweight champ Andreas Kotelnik (31-3-1). Khan moved up from lightweight to challenge for Kotelnik's belt and used his reach advantage to land quick combinations and stay out of trouble.
All three judges favored Khan: 120-108 and 118-111 twice.
Just ten months ago, Khan was knocked out in 54 seconds by Breidis Prescott. Now, just three fights later, the 22-year-old Khan has a world title belt.
Prescott (21-1), coincidentally, was in action the night before Khan's big win but didn't fare nearly as well. Prescott lost - for the first time in his professional career - by split decision to underdog Miguel Vazquez (25-3).

Excellent Fight. I watched it online, that should hopefully silence his critiques.
I hope to see Khan in Athens live
Prescott should have known his opponent would use mainly jabs due to a height disadvantage.Jabs kept Prescott off balance. But he may have 1 more oppurtunity to keep the career on track. He has to throw more jabs.
