After a quiet start to 2012, boxing will really begin to heat up in February with the following fighters all scheduled to be in action: Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Nonito Donaire, Andre Berto, Victor Ortiz, Vitali Klitschko, Paul Williams, Chris Arreola, Marcos Maidana, Devon Alexander and Adrien Broner.
Check out our complete fight schedule for more details.

I guess our idea off heating up is very different.
Here’s the only heat that I see….
Andre Berto vs Victor Ortiz
The rest you need to be honest about. None are inspiring in the least.
Marcos Maidana vs Devon Alexander (still don’t forgive him for the bradley fight)
Adrien Broner vs Eloy (unbeaten)
I love boxing, but after this is it’s all garbage.
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs Rubio
Nonito Donaire vs Vazquez Jr.
Vitlai Klitschko vs Chisora (lost 2 of 3 and his last fight)
Pual Williams vs Nobuhiro Ishida (The kirkland KO guy)
Chris Arreola vs TBD
I am also looking forward to the Berto/Ortiz bout, but please
do not refer to the remaining matches as garrbage. MOST of these
men work very hard to better themselves and support their families.
I think they deserve more respect.
Waiting for the great boxing
OK point taken, garbage is not referring to the actual men putting their lives on the line. It’s to the promoters and sanctioning bodies making terrible fights.
I respect those men and hope they do well. But in any other sport, this would not happen. Face a champion in the top of the pound for pound list after 2 of 3 bouts being loses? Name another one outside of boxing.
One of these bouts features a fighter whose challenger’s debut fight was his last fight with the feature fighter.
Arreola’s fight has now been made. it’s number 14 in the world vs 102.
Honestly, i probably put Rubio and Vazquez in the wrong place. Rubio could be good and Vazquez was the old champion that lost his belt to Arce.
The garbage part is that fights like these are made and are disrespectful to the sport, the opponent getting in the ring that is outclassed (and may get hurt), the championship, and the public.
